happy easter!

*HAPPY EASTER!*

Oh, who doesn't love Easter? The chocolate, the family, the chocolate.. oh and chocolate! Mm, I think I may enter a food coma by the end of today. 

Anyway! Here are some pictures from my day. I threw on a quick smart/casual outfit to go to the pub for some drinks with my family. After that we had some lunch at our house and my mum made the table look so cute and Easter-y.

For anybody that wants to know what I'm wearing: a sheer white blouse with a white vest underneath which are both from H&M, the cutest mini grey bowler hat from Topshop and clip-on (YES CLIP-ON!) leaf earrings from Claire's Accessories.

teeny tiny haul

This could be the tiniest haul I've ever seen, but I wanted to share with you some things I have bought recently!

I'll start with the most boring one first, cotton wool pads. Pretty basic but an essential in my house! These ones are from Morrisons and they were reduced so I picked them up as I was running a bit low.

Secondly, the Vaseline Cocoa Butter Vitalising Gel Body Oil from Boots. This smells gorgeous! It does take a while to sink in but once it does I love how silky my skin feels. It is enriched with cocoa butter, Brazilian nut and almond oil goodness which really helps to perk up my skin when it is looking grey and lacklustre.

Next, I got the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer also from Boots. There is a normal/combination option available but this is the dry/sensitive one. I haven't really tried this out much yet so I can't comment on if it makes my make-up last longer, but it does feel refreshing and moisturising on the skin. 

Finally, from Superdrug I picked up the Rimmel Shimmer Instant Tan in the shade Medium Matte. I don't have much experience with fake tan but I thought I'd try it out with a cheap option first to see how I go. I've only used this on my legs so far but I really like it. It was on offer for £2.99 when I bought it and retails for £4.99 which means that for less than a fiver you get a nice natural tan that can be washed off pretty quickly if you don't like it. Foolproof!

I hope you liked seeing what I bought, I love blog posts like this but maybe that's because I'm quite nosy but I like seeing what people are willing to spend their pennies on and see if there are any deals out there!

birthday night out

My last post was all about my birthday last week, and today I wanted to show you the outfit I wore on my birthday night out yesterday with my girls! We got ready and stayed in a hotel and I had an amazing night!

Want the details? Green floral texture bodycon dress from Topshop, studded leather waistcoat from River Island, black cut out heels from Topshop, cream and black bag from Accessorise and silver spike collar necklace from Primark. 

And yes, my lovely chummies bought me a Birthday Boy badge which I wore the entire night!

happy birthday to meeeee!

Yaaaay I'm finally 18!

I've been spoilt rotten again this year and my favourite present of all has to be the Polaroid camera that Jack bought for me! The photo above in one that I took this morning using my new device, I really like the candid effect they have and can't wait to get using it properly to document my life!

red lips

I never thought red lips would suit me as I'm quite pale, but I think it works pretty well as I have dark hair too.

In this photo, the product of choice is the Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Lacquer in the shade Big Bang which is lovely and glossy but not sticky at all and the pigmentation is incredible! However, I would suggest that you wipe the applicator against the inside of the tube first to remove some of the product as it can be very easy to apply way too much!
