bourjois bronzing primer

As part of their bronze collection, this chocolate-mousse-looking primer promises to smooth, even and mattify the skin whilst providing a bronze glow.

As a primer, I find this to be too drying and too dark to be placed on my whole face pre-makeup. However, after reading some other blogs I began using it as a cream bronzer and it works wonders! It is very pigmented and you only need the slighted bit to notice a difference.

I use a Real Techniques Buffing Brush to buff this under my cheekbones, onto my temples, down my nose and around my jawbone to give a natural, sunkissed glow. I love the satin finish of this product and prefer to use it over any other powder equivalent. I'm excited to use more from this brand!

weekend break: lake district

I recently went off on a little weekend break to the Lake District! Jack & I had wanted to go somewhere on our own for quite a while but couldn't find the time or money. However, my lovely Supervisor gave me the whole bank holiday weekend off so we jumped at the chance to book a lovely countryside break!

We stopped at Brathay Hall in Ambleside which is a five minute drive from Windermere. The hotel was gorgeously cosy and quiet with it's surrounding countryside farms and super helpful staff. Our room was spacious and neat with two walls of windows that overlooked the rolling hills of Ambleside on our left, and the picturesque lake Windermere on our right.

We had such an amazing time and I can't wait for our next trip! Hope you enjoy my snaps!

What girl can't be cheered up with a bit of shopping? I recently went on a little trip to the shops to spend some of my hard earned dollar. Here's a look at what I've bought recently!

Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser, Boots - This genius spray makes the boring task of moisturising ten times easier! It delivers a gentle, even spray nourishing cream to your body which you simply rub in to complete this skincare step. Perfect for lazy ladies like myself.

Soap & Glory Flake Away, Boots - I'm a huge, huge fan of Soap & Glory's other scrub, Pulp Friction. However, as I am going away over the bank holiday I decided it would be the perfect time to take a mini product with me and also try out a new exfoliater! P.s this smells divine!

Indeed Labs Hydraluron, Boots - There is huge hype surrounding this product that claims to improve skins moisture levels over time. However, it is slightly pricey. I purchased this today as there was a rather pleasant discount on it and I am very excited to try this on my dry/sensitive skin!

Fujifilm Instax Mini Film, eBay - My boyfriend bought me a Polaroid camera for my 18th birthday this year! I love it so much, however I do go through the film very quick! I repurchased three packs of this film which produces credit card sized photos. I seriously recommend purchasing an instant camera, the candid memories I have stored now because of this is unreal!

Collared Shirt, Matalan - I saw this super cute top in Look magazine earlier this month and ever since I've been hunting for it! It comes in either grey or black and I choose the grey version as I feel I would wear it more. It's a super soft knit with a silky shirt-like collar. Cute!
