chop!

I've been feeling very bored with my hair lately. 

It's so long that it just knots up so easily and creates horribly painful matted ends (sorry for that lovely visual.) The amount of brushing and tugging that I have the put my hair through just to make it manageable has taken it's toll and my locks were looking more ragged than red-carpet-worthy.

SO, I booked a very spontaneous appointment at my local hairdressers. I walked in and demanded that she chop the whole thing off! Very unlike me as I haven't had hair shorter than collar-bone length since I was 12. I loved long hair, I loved curling it and putting it up and when it was co-operating with me it looked lovely. But when it wasn't, it was a nightmare.

Snip, snip! It may not look very drastic to you but this is MEGA short for me! I showed my hairdresser some pictures from Pinterest for some inspiration and she gave me this lovely choppy, collar-bone length style! I kept my fringe pieces still long as I still wanted to be able to put all of my hair up if I want to. 

Overall, I really really love it! I feel like a whole new person! My hair looks and feels so much healthier now and I'm so glad I took the plunge and changed my style up a bit.

moroccan oil

***Moroccan Oil - Feel Unique £12.85+***

This is a product constantly raved about in the blogging world. And so, I too jumped on the bandwagon.

I had my hair dip-dyed a while ago and it left my ends pretty much dead. I get regular cuts and trims but that doesn't seem to get rid of the split ends. I purchased the smaller moroccan oil treatment just to try it, and I can safely say I will be purchasing the larger size as soon as my wage hits my bank!

After a bath or shower, I rough dry my hair with a towel and leave for a while. Whilst still damp, I apply a few drops of this oil (which smells of holidays, fyi) and run through the tips of my hair as this is the place which needs the most treatment. I leave to dry naturally, and in the morning my hair feels super soft and nourished and even looks healthier which is just amazing!

This product has done absolute wonders for my hair and I would definitely recommend checking it out online. I also find that this oil brings out the natural waves to my hair which I really, really like! This has become a staple product in my hair routine!

bumble and bumble texture undressing creme

**Bumble and Bumble Texture Hair (un)Dressing Creme - £21.50**

I have been pining after this product for so long and after many sessions in Boots picking it up and putting it down, I finally decided to part with my hard earned cash.

The Undressing Creme is basically a white paste designed to provide volume and grit to fine hair. I have very fine hair, but I have a lot of it so a lot of "volumising" products tend to weigh my hair down. I applied a 10p sized splodge of this to my hands, rubbed together and ran it through the lengths and tips of my hair. I then worked any excess through the roots, making sure all product was worked well into the rest of my hair. Then style as desired.

I decided to air dry my hair overnight, secretly hoping to wake up to locks similar to those of Cheryl Cole. And boy was I pleasantly surprised!

My usually unmanageable  limp hair was transformed into full, thick beachy waves. There was a gritty feeling which I loved, making my hair easy to work with. I could even just add a spritz of hairspray and I was good to go!

Overall, this is an absolute lifesaver for my boring thin hair and is definitely worth the pretty hefty price tag! This will have a proud place and one of my top hair products so far!
