Now, whilst this isn't the most glamorous subject to talk about, it is one that I take quite seriously. During the cold, winter months our poor little tootsies end up becoming dry and very unappealing. The freezing weather mixed with central heating and the usual day-to-day wear means our feet can end up looking a little worse for wear. Enter the foot creams!
1. Soap & Glory's Heel Genius £5.50 - This is a fairly thick white cream with a very sweet, fruity smell due to the macadamia oil and the orange and lemon fruit acid smoothers within it. You are directed to smother a generous layer onto clean feet and then pop some cotton socks on and let it soak in overnight. I really like the smell of this cream and although it does leave my feet feeling soft and nourished, there is a slight greasy feel which I am not a fan of.
2. The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue £9.00- This a pink cream that contains cocoa butter, peppermint oil and grape acids to soften hard skin and help prevent cracked heels. This smells absolutely lush and leaves my feet feeling fresh and soft to the touch. I apply this at night after I have showered and just before I go to bed and by morning all the product has soaked in and my feet feel nourished and healthy with a lovely minty scent. A definite win for me!
3. No7 Softening Foot Balm £9.95 - This is a rich, buttery balm with probably the nicest scent out of all these products. It smells almost like a perfume and feels very luxurious to apply. My feet feel baby soft, but I don't feel as though this is helping the dryness, only masking it temporarily. This would probably be a good choice for a nice one-off treat, but not as a foot saver.
4. Foot Works Intensive Treatment Cream £3.50 - This a lot like the Body Shop one, with a very comforting scent of fresh lavender. However, I feel that this lovely, lilac cream is best suited to quick application such as in the morning or throughout the day, unlike the Body Shop cream that I feel is best for a night-time treatment.
Out of these four products, my favorite has to be The Body Shop Peppermint Intensive Foot Rescue! What's your favorite foot cream? x
